Quebec Skilled Worker Class

Under this program having French knowledge is obligatory. Individuals who are qualified in addition to knowledge of French must also have work experience related to their education. In order to attract more skilled worker to this province, recently the process of applications under this program has been accelerated. For those who have limited knowledge of French it is recommended to upgrade French as soon as possible to benefit from advantages of this province.

Changes in program:

  • Applications that are opened after October 16, 2006 will be processed according to the new occupation list.
  • Waiting period for interview has been shortened.
  • The whole period of this program (since obtaining file number to obtaining the visa) has been reduced from 3 years to 2 years (in some cases 2 years and half)

Important notes:

  • Submitting French exam results of D.E.L.F / D.A.L.F and T.E.F under this program is not necessary.
  • Waiting period for interview has been shortened.
  • Knowledge of English will bring you some scores but it is not the main condition under this program.
  • Submitting English exam result of IELTS is not required.
  • Your interview will be in French.
  • At the interview time you should be able to answer the immigration officers� questions in French.
