A new regulator means positive changes for Canada's immigration system. This affects the way immigration services are administered by third party professionals such as immigration consultants.
Immigration consultants provide their services to individuals seeking help to navigate immigration issues in Canada. This may include obtaining advice or assistance with permanent residence applications, temporary residence and visa applications, or refugee claims.
The Council is putting in place a number of processes to ensure that Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultants (RCICs) are operating ethically and competently at all times. The Council will work hard to ensure program integrity is maintained and protected and that users of immigration services are provided with high quality services that comply with current legislation and regulation.
For information on the Council's activities and what a new regulatory means for the public, please read our informational document, ICCRC - What It Means to You: The Public.
